Nexus 7 (2013 Wi-Fi) Android 5.1.1 (LMY48G) Lollipop OTA [ How To Update]

Nexus 7 2013 (Wi-Fi) users are in for some great news, as Google has just released the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop over-the-air (OTA) update with build number LMY48G for its 7in flagship phablet.

The new OTA update bumps the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop build to LMY48G from LMY47V and follows the recent rollout of the factory image for the same firmware build on the same phablet.

Those who missed the Android 5.1.1 OTA update notification or cannot wait for its official release in their country can go ahead and install the same manually, using the step-by-step guide provided below.

÷ Prerequisites:

•Back up important data and settings on your device via recovery mode.

•Ensure that your Nexus phone has above 80% battery charge.

•The bootloader of the device should be unlocked.

•The Android 5.1.1 OTA update is only for said Nexus devices. Installing the firmware on any incorrect variant could brick the device. Therefore verify the model number of the device before installing OTA update.

•This is stock Android 5.1.1 build LMY48G released by Google, not leaked firmware.

•Nexus 7 Wi-Fi (2013) should be running Android 5.1 LMY47V Lollipop stock firmware to support the new Lollipop build (LMY48G).
